At Pablo’s Pack, we believe every dog deserves a second chance and that’s exactly what Rescue Paws Newport is all about.
Based in South Wales, this volunteer-run community group rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes dogs across the UK and Ireland. Whether they’re saving strays from council pounds or supporting smaller rescues through fundraising, the team is committed to giving every pup a fresh start.
Giving Dogs a Second Chance
Many of the dogs rescued by Rescue Paws Newport are initially placed in kennels while they wait for the right home. These are dogs who have often come from pounds or difficult situations, and the team works hard to make sure they’re safe, cared for and not forgotten.
From there, they are matched with loving adopters across the UK and Ireland. Every dog is fully vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered before going to their new home. The goal is always to find the right forever family and give each dog a fresh start.
Rehoming Across the UK and Ireland
They don’t just help dogs in their local area. If a good match is found, Rescue Paws Newport will rehome dogs anywhere across the UK and Ireland, provided the adopter passes a home check and the dog has the right support in place. Their focus is on long-term, successful adoptions where the dog truly belongs.
Fundraising That Makes a Difference
Rescue Paws Newport regularly hosts events like indoor markets, pop-up shops and community fundraisers. These events raise essential funds that cover the costs of food, vet care and transport for the dogs they rescue. Every pound raised goes straight back into helping more dogs find safety and care.
Fundraising is also used to assist smaller rescues where needed, helping ease the financial burden caused by the ongoing crisis of rescue dogs in need. By working together and sharing resources, they are able to support more dogs than ever before.
